The Weird Fantasies that the McCann case has produced.
Having a read around forum land tonight, I do wonder what draws the weirdos from never-never land to espouse their theories on the McCann case and the origins of Madeleine McCann and her family, ranging from the claimed links to royalty and the stories that she lost her life before May the 3 rd 2007.

Friggin weirdos,that's what they are.

Weirdos they certainly are.
Some even seem to have comprehensive data bases to refer to at a moment's notice and pull up some obscure reference or post from the past.
Either that, or they are budding Mastermind contestants with 'The life and death of Madeleine McCann' as their specialist subject.

You've both got it.
What really gets me, is when when some apparently 'normal' people on both sides, then support truly outlandish theories, and praise the lunatics for all the hard work they put in, and cannot even present any evidence for their theories other than rabid meanderings.

Those who believe in abduction don't want to believe that it was a paedophile, hence the fairy stories which allow MM to be alive and able to be found.
Those who think MM died before Thursday think the two photos were doctored or invented to hide that fact.

I agree. The traits are not restricted to the McCann case though.
I have an interest in two unsolved murders one 60 years ago one 30 years ago. The victims were both female, in the 60 year old case the victim was a 17 year old girl and in the 30 year old case the victim was a woman in her 30s.
By accident I found a site where the older of the cases was being discussed. Nutters who were carrying on as though they were related to or friends of the victim making comment like "Freda* wouldn't have done anything like that". They probably weren't even born when she was murdered [yes I was!].

Re: The Weird Fantasies that the McCann case has produced.
I've no clear view on when she died, but I'm damned sure that the photos are faked. The reason I believe them to be fake is that does not appear on the DVD of photos given to the PJ by Gerry & Michael.
A problem I have is with the speed that the tennis photo was produced, it first doing the rounds on the 7th. Skillfully done, it required the expertise of someone not among the holiday group. This involves a conspiracy to deceive, though the photo-shopper may not have realised the implications at the time and was just trying to help a friend out.
The other possibility is that the photo is not markedly altered, but was not taken in PDL on the date specified.
Why does Kate go to such lengths to describe exactly what Madeleine was wearing that day when it is obvious from the photo what she was wearing? By giving such a detailed description she is trying to prove that it did happen at that time & place.
In fact, by the time she had run and got her camera, the moment would have been long gone and not worth recording.
Why it is important is less clear, but probably an attempt to demonstrate that they were attentive parents, always on hand to record their children's activities.
Another falsehood, as we well know.

Re: The Weird Fantasies that the McCann case has produced.
I note that some who have control over what posters can say in forum land, are quite happy to endorse, what can only be described as pure fantasies belonging to the echelons of quasi religious cults.
Chief among them being of course, that Madeleine was a sign of the Second Coming of Jesus, and that her ancestry could be traced back to Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
It seems some people take Dan Brown's books as Gospel.
It doesn't seem to have occurred to those who allow this crap to be posted and stand, makes them look as imbecilic as those who posted the rubbish in the first place.
I really do wonder how these people function in the real world, or are they allowed internet access in secure accommodation ?

Re: The Weird Fantasies that the McCann case has produced.
Russell struggled to find a photo on Kate's camera. That suggests that he didn't find the tennis photo or the playground photos on there. It would have been embarrassing to have taken no photos at all of your children during a family holiday.
I too thought it strange to describe Madeleine's outfit. It didn't add to Madeleine's 'cuteness like the pool outfit did, it was just an ordinary outfit to play in. Pink hat and blue socks? Not thought out at all.

Yeah, the one chosen for immediate circulation was of her in spotted pyjamas, not even taken at PDL.
I think the playground ones were on the camera card, probably taken on the Sunday when there were no creche services available.

Re: The Weird Fantasies that the McCann case has produced.
Therein lies the problem.
In the land of the cuckoo clock, one member of the Monster Raving Loony Party runs supreme and the beliebers line up to support the codswallop.
If it wasn't so sad, it would be laughable.

It seems that anything which supports the 'official' story is to be applauded, no matter how far fetched.

Yes, that is precisely the case.
The cuckoo clock reigns supreme in the Outer Limits of Goo-goo ga-ga land.

It continues to be the case, that unsubstantiated beliefs are being portrayed as facts to support abduction.
The purveyors and supporters of those on the various forums, including any staff on those, seem unable to grasp that a belief isn't proof.
SO A BRIEF REMINDER FOR GUESTS...........
Abduction is not a fact, just a theory perpetuated by the Mccanns and their supporters, for blatantly obvious reasons.
i.e. They are up shit creek without a paddle, without an abduction. I.M.H.O. of course.

Evidently quite a few of them believe that.
Then when it comes to rational thought, very few of them are capable of exhibiting that.

Quite right.
When it comes to the reality of the situation, those others who know quite clearly these fantasy stories are complete codswallop, they go along with them, as for some reason they think it helps the Mccanns.
Yet, we have never seen any of these fantasies printed in the M.S.M.
Not hard to see why though.

No, I don't believe they do.
Merely encouraging her because it gives them something to talk about and able to pretend that she has done some deep research.
Anything to distract from more important topics.

We will have to disagree on that.
I have seen several of her fellows give support to her theories on the forums they inhabit.

They must be dafter than I thought then.
No one in their right mind can believe all the rubbish churned out by that woman.
