There’s been some daft reporting on the 2018 Madeleine Fund accounts, mainly about the £84,096 book royalties. That isn’t news at all, as it was reported a year ago in the 2017 accounts as a post balance sheet event, so it would appear that the usual tame journalist contacts are being fed stuff to print, rather than bothering to do any research themselves - no surprise there!.

What may be slightly more interesting is that the creditors of over £50,000 as at 31 March 2017, stated to include lawyers costs in relation to the litigation against Amaral (who of course won in the Supreme Court) were paid during the year ended 31 March 2018.

Hullo Misty and Vertigo, watching from afar (just the 13.5k posts between the two of you, with not a single one of them containing any evidence relevant to this case).

Either Helleanor & Co are too old now after all these years to remember, or they think nobody bothered to retain the evidence, but Mitchell himself told the world JT had id'd "George". She may or may not have done but he claimed she had.

One hopes the ITV doc is better than this sensational rubbish. I doubt it will be though. It'll be a Williams-Thomas production.

I was wrong about that. No trace of Williams-Thomas' dna in that production, and it made the Aussie Sixty Minutes show look even trashier than it already did. Well done, Julie.

It was an infill during the summer months, nothing of worth from it.

I'm not saying it was brilliant but it criticized the British police as much as the Portuguese, and it resisted the temptation to be sensational. It made the claims the newspapers have been making look ridiculous. We knew they were ridiculous but most of the ITV audience wouldn't know. I thought it was an honest doc.
