PR and spin

I was watching Michael Gove today on the Andrew Marr show. The subject being discussed was the criticism of Boris Johnson for making remarks which may have made the situation of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe worse.

Gove said people shouldn't criticise Johnson, they should focus on the real offenders; the Iranians who jailed the woman.

It instantly reminded me of Kate McCann's declaration that it wasn't them who had committed a crime, it was the 'abductor'.

Quite right.

Abduction was used, I.M.H.O., of course, to divert attention from the Mccanns

Oh and one of the classic Kateisms 'is like we made a mistake if you want to call it that!' It was a grudgingly, sort of, nearly addmission that it wasn't such a good idea to let Maddie go missing.

Another one trying to make light of the situation of her daughters 'abduction by paedophile gang' was... she will give them her tuppance worth.. seriously it is sickening.
