Inconsistencies and peculiarities

I had three children under 5 and if one of them bled I would definitely have been made aware of it by the screams. How can Kate McCann suggest that Madeleine may have bled in the apartment without her knowledge?

Even if it was blood (and this was never proven), it could have come from any number of people who’d been in the apartment before or since Madeleine’s abduction. It could even have come from the abductor. Just supposing it was Madeleine’s: maybe she tripped over? Had a slight nosebleed? [madeleine]

A rather strange comment by Russell. He;s talking about Sunday evening when he says he checked Matthew's child, but Matthew didn't go to dinner on Sunday, so that's unlikely. I was wondering what he meant about 'the ground floor perspective'. None of the couples on the ground floor would have anything but a ground floor perspective, would they? Or would they? Jane also says something which could suggest an upstairs perspective. She never mentions going upstairs, but she mentions coming down. Russell also makes a strange comment about Tuesday evening. Where did Jane bring her daughter 'over' from and to? Russell, we're told, never went to the meal on Tuesday;

‘I recall I checked Kate and Gerry’s apartment as well as Rachael and Matt’s and my recollection is that I needed Matt’s key to check on their room and I had it, but I didn’t need Kate and Gerry’s key because they went through the patio door’, erm, we went through the patio door to cross in and look into the children’s bedroom. So, at the time, I have to say, I didn’t really think that, you know, about the differences in how, in how we were, the security in the, in the rooms was, but, erm, I definitely did not go in through Gerry’s and Kate’s main, you know, double locked door or anything, I’m sure I went through the patio, so I think they were doing things differently from Matt and Rachael, at least from the ground floor perspective, right from the word go”.

Russell's mouth does tend to cast doubts. He's looking at his first statement, which, allegedly, didn't get filmed. It must have been recorded though, because he;s reviewing a transcript. He's describing what they did after Kate raised the alarm. Why did he keep saying porch, I wonder?

On 8th April Russell was interviewed from @ 10 am to @ 8.30 pm. The filming didn't work, apparently, so he was re-interviewed on 10th. Was there an off the record discussion on 9th too?
