UK media accused of trailing fake McCann stories to “pressure the European Court”

One has to consider the possibility that the revelation of Mr.McCann's 'DEPRESSION' is no more than a ploy to gain sympathy at a time when funding is running out.

Re: PORTUGAL RESIDENT
The Portuguese lower court judge put a stop to the line of questioning about Kate’s depression when she ruled that only a doctor could offer an opinion on that.
I’ll be surprised if the BBC interviewer asks Gerry whether he has been diagnosed as depressed.

And another: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/7319265/madeleine-mccann-donations-dried-up
“Last year it earned £7,180, but most of that came from interest on more than £500,000 invested by stockbrokers to pay for private investigators when Scotland Yard stops its probe”.
“when” - shouldn’t that be “if”, or is someone quite sure about that?

Re: PORTUGAL RESIDENT
Gonçalo Amaral also told us that "in the next few days" he will file a formal complaint against the Daily Mail and other British newspapers, which printed the same story, with the Independent Press Standards Organization (IPSO),
Think this is long overdue...hope he is very successful in doing so...
Makes a change G A suing ....
