So, how does reflect on Operation Grange ?
Millions spent, and nothing to show for it.

The supporters of the McCanns praise Operation Grange only as part of their campaign against the PJ in my opinion.

Britain’s biggest police force is worse at helping children at risk of sexual exploitation and rape than it was 12 months ago when a damning report found systemic failings, The Times can reveal.
Scotland Yard failed to properly handle 90 per cent of the child protection cases examined by the police watchdog in a fresh assessment delivered last month. The Metropolitan Police was criticised for the poor attitudes of officers dealing with missing children, delays of up to three days in responding to cases, failures to record the concerns of children and a lack of proactive investigation.

Oh the irony of this.
One does wonder who had the clout to authorize OG given the track record of the Met.
Not that it has achieved anything but a few free trips to the Algarve and the local boozers there.
Allegedly, of course.

"The Metropolitan Police was criticised for the poor attitudes of officers dealing with missing children, delays of up to three days in responding to cases, failures to record the concerns of children and a lack of proactive investigation" - well, when so many millions are spent on one case, many other cases will inevitably receive less attention.

Re: Police failure to solve crimes
I wonder what their response will be next time they're asked to take on a case which is, basically, none of their business?
There are, of course people who think the case may yet be solved to our satisfaction. Here's hoping!

In the McCann case Sir Paul Stephenson(?) and Theresa May said, first time around, "nothing to do with us pal".
Then the big white arrow came out of the ceiling from The Weak Leader saying "oh yes it is, thou shalt investigate and I will fund it".
