Cult McCann

I know this matter has been addressed before, but the recent behaviour of the Mccann's core supporters, including the reaction to Nessling's conviction, seems to have escalated their defense posture towards their 'heroes', for want of a better term.

I am interested to hear other peoples take on this, and why they think the McCann's have gained this 'cult' following.

That doesn't include those family members and friends who act on their behalf, but then again,.............. it might.

IMO there are some close connections. It is all too scripted.

Their failure, apart from one or two laudable exceptions, to condemn and distance themselves 
from Nessling shows what kind of people they are, and by acting like that they are forever tainting themselves.

No doubt about it Texty.

They even deny they discuss the case and plan strategy behind the scenes, and then get worked up if others discuss the case.

Toys out of the pram, yet again.

They certainly used to have 'topic of the week' where they all sang from the same hymn sheet.
I find they have very little original thought, other than that wacky one with the 'chosen one' theory

Good old team McCann. You never know, perhaps one of the McCanns posts on a certain forum.

What a pair of Cults they are. Well they won't be deleting that.

Characteristics of cults;

The image they project often seems too good to be true.
They have an excellent PR operation.
The leaders will present themselves as squeaky clean.
Others will stay in the background (like a board of directors, for example).
There will be a lack of transparency.
Members must display complete loyalty.
Those seen as enemies of the cult will be demonised.

A bit cruel.

It is very hard to imagine that all but a few of the online Mccann supporters care for anything but the McCann's.

Having observed such behaviour, yet again last night, it aptly demonstrates not just a cult, but in addition, strong sociopathic tendencies within the group.

The sad little buggers are going spare.
